Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add a vehicle?
Open the Garage tab and tap the "+" button. Enter your vehicle's name, year, make, model, and mileage. You can also add a photo.
How do I log a service?
Tap the Log tab (wrench icon) from any screen. Select a service category, enter the details, and save. The title auto-fills based on the category you choose.
Can I attach receipts?
Yes. When logging or editing a service entry, tap "Add Receipt" to attach photos of your receipts. Free users can attach 1 receipt per entry; Pro users get unlimited receipts.
How does iCloud sync work?
Ledger syncs your data across all your devices signed into the same Apple ID. Go to Settings > iCloud Sync to enable or disable it. Data is stored in your private iCloud container — only you can access it.
What's included in Ledger Pro?
Pro unlocks unlimited vehicles (free tier allows 1) and unlimited receipt attachments per entry. You can subscribe monthly, annually, or purchase a one-time lifetime unlock.
How do I restore my purchase?
Go to Settings > Restore Purchases. This will re-activate your Pro subscription if you've previously purchased it or if you're signed into the same Apple ID on a new device.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Go to your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, find Ledger, and tap Cancel. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Open any vehicle's detail page and use the export option to generate a PDF report of all maintenance records, which you can share or save.
How do I switch between miles and kilometers?
Go to Settings > Mileage Unit and choose between miles and kilometers. All mileage values throughout the app will update automatically.
My data disappeared after reinstalling
If you had iCloud sync enabled, your data should reappear once the device syncs. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID and that iCloud is enabled in the App's settings. Give it a few minutes — large datasets may take time to sync.
